How does the curtailment credit tracking work?

Upload your hosting contract (or use our estimated SLA baseline). HashMaximizer calculates your contractual uptime guarantee, then automatically logs every downtime event against it. When your host falls short, you see exactly how much credit you're owed, with an export-ready claim report. Contract details are used only to calculate your SLA — you confirm exact terms by uploading the contract.

Is my MRR API key safe?

Yes. Your MiningRigRentals API key is stored encrypted in our database and is never exposed in the browser or logs. We request only the read scope — the key can read your rig data and rental history but cannot place orders or move funds. You can revoke it from your MRR account settings at any time.

Does it track rental income from MiningRigRentals?

Yes. Connect your MRR API key and HashMaximizer pulls rental history for each rig, calculates net P&L (rental revenue minus electricity cost), and shows you a six-month income table broken down by machine and month. It also logs downtime events automatically when rigs go offline, which you can export for curtailment reporting.

How does HashMaximizer decide which coin to mine?

It calculates net USD revenue per TH/s per day for each SHA-256 coin using live price, network difficulty, block reward, and pool fees — then subtracts your actual electricity or hosting cost. A SWITCH signal fires when an alt coin beats BTC by your configured threshold (default 1.5×). WATCH at 1.2×. HOLD means stay on BTC. QUAI's 2-week lockup risk is factored in: you need a 50% premium (1.5×) above BTC to justify the exposure.

How does the live monitoring work?

HashMaximizer polls the MRR API on a graduated schedule — every 1 minute while a rig is rented (when it matters most), slowing to every 30 minutes when idle. You get offline alerts, uptime percentage, and a 30-day hashrate chart per machine. No separate monitoring software needed.

What ASIC miners are supported?

Any major ASIC. SHA-256: Antminer S21/S21 Pro/S21 XP, S19 family, Whatsminer M50/M60. Scrypt: Antminer L7, L9 (mining LTC+DOGE together). Blake2b (SC) and Kaspa kHeavyHash miners too. Enter the rated hashrate in the machine's native unit and wattage, and HashMaximizer handles the rest.

What is an SLA buffer and how do downtime credits work?

A hosting SLA guarantees a minimum uptime -- typically 95-98%. The SLA buffer is the downtime your host is contractually allowed before they owe you credits. HashMaximizer tracks every offline minute against your contract threshold, flags when cumulative downtime exceeds your buffer, and documents the credit case you bring to your hosting provider.
